I didn't mean to infer about the exclusion of the 5.1 mix of Meddle/OBC. I just meant that, by not including LPC in this, that's as if PF were to exclude OBC or More, period, from TEY (obviously they didn't), as those are also film ost.

IDK, my wording is off when trying to explain things in text sometimes. Anyway, I hope they change their minds and decide to include it anyway.

Again, it's apples and oranges. TEY omitted all studio albums from that era with the exception of OBC because it was remastered (and I'm surprised Waters let this go) while TLY will include all studio albums from that era.

Oh, I had no idea all the studio albums were actually omitted from TEY. I honestly haven't kept an eye on TEY or it's contents. I just assumed the studio albums were a given, and were already there.

Shows how much I know! :nyah:

Sorry if I missed it, but I wonder if there will be a 24/96 stereo hi-res AMLOR?

Both Division Bell and The Endless River were released in 24/96 so I would assume that AMLOR would be as well.

No words on long-rumored AMLOR 21st century remake to be included in the set?

According to the liner notes of my CD copy of AMLOR it is a digital multitrack recording, with the exception of the bass guitar and acoustic drums, which were recorded on analogue multitrack. The album was then mixed down to analogue tape. Given the limitations of digital recording in the 1980s, it is therefore likely that the highest resolution of the digitally recorded elements will be 48/16, meaning the album will never be 'true' hi-res, however I agree I would hope the album (and the rest of the Pink Floyd back catalogue) is released in above CD quality at some point.

These words are right for the second decade of the 21st century, but in the eighties the 20th centuries digital record seemed the main achievement for providing the most qualitative sound.

I do hope if we don't get the complete Omni footage, they include the Live B-sides from those recording that they released from it back in 87 at least in this release. Always been fond of the OTTA from Atlanta 87. Its a good solo and David used a white strat the way it was edited for the promo video is really good. Would love to hear the uncut solo for OTTA from Omni 87

Yes I've thought about that as well. I remember seeing live music videos (promos) on VH1 from the OMNI, not sure exactly how many they did, but it would be nice to have those in improved quality so that concert is represented at least.

And of course the music videos from The Division Bell that they couldn't be bothered to include on the 20th anniversary box set.

There were 3; On The Turning Away, Dogs of War and One Slip. The footage for Learning to Fly wasn't shot at The Omni.

Was AMLOR recorded in ANALOG? I know a lot of mid 80 recordings were lower res digital and I'm pretty sure I heard a lot of AMLOR was done that way.

Haven‘t read the whole thread so please excuse me if it‘s answered already. Is there anything exclusive left in the 20th anniversary Division Bell box?
