It's not, but it kinda sorta in a long shot way makes more sense than A Collection of Great Dance Songs. We're getting a little off topic here though. It's going to turn into yet another Waters vs Gilmour bs war. So sick of reading that crap.

90+ percent of people that dislike AMLOR don't care one bit about the production choices.

The Early Years box consisted of 27 discs, so this is actually a step back in that regard.

  13. No so sure about that. Wasn't the Early Years priced insanely at the beginning? But then ultimately the prices dropped (or at least from Amazon UK). I remember the price fluctuating wildly, where it would creep down little by little for 2-3 weeks, and then suddenly tic back up again by $100 or more. But wasn't the original "list price" of the Early Years box almost as bad?

Yeah, that photo is a beauty, but that's one fine lady who is too rich for my blood if that pricing is even remotely accurate.

I spent less than that getting the Herbert Karajan set, which had a few hundred discs in it...

Is someone at the label trying to set the bar high so only the true die-hards take the plunge? :biglaugh:

Yeah, I wasn't interested in that one at all and was figuring this set would be around 10 or 11 disk$ with a typical price for that sized of a set. Cant even begin to consider roughly $500 for it. Too bad. Was really pumped for the remix and all the other DG goodness.

Before we get to the actual contents of the box and the discussion of the price, I'll just say right away that this is a BEAUTIFUL set that seeems to respect the long tradition of quality products from the Pink Floyd camp. Glad that The Endless River was just a deviation.

confirms Venice 89 & Knebworth 90 will be on one disc
