Very nice picture. Wonder which occasion this might have been. Machan Taylors Great Gig finale is from another world - outrageous!

So, no Omni and no Carrera Panamericana? The dream set seems to be getting shorter and shorter.

Let's hope that it means more unexpected studio stuff. I reckon that La Carrera isn't top-tier material but this kind of boxset seemed like the right place to release it officially, for the sake of completion if anything.

I'm not one to shoot the messenger... but *dislike.* Oh well, I'm sure there's much better stuff anyway! The La Carrera just has a nice novelty factor to it.

The release's contents were not finalized at the time I learned about it so things can change. I'm assuming that the official announcement will come in a few more weeks.

What's an AFG? I check Pink Floyd's social media sites every day.

Right. And Jose, who runs the Spanish PF website posted this on AFG:

Official announcement: July: Date not confirmed
Release: November / December: date not confirmed

Take this with a grain on salt but this would have been my guess.

And FYI, I only have a brief overview of some of the bonus material to be included. I too like to have something as a surprise.

So what's the deal with the Wall live footage? I thought it was all film on videotape (which was too darkly lit for commercial release) with only a few songs captured on 35mm. Was the whole show shot on 35mm?

I hope it's the same shape but smaller so that it fits right on top of the older box without crushing it!

The entire show was shot on 35mm. This was discovered after Steve O'Rourke passed away. Roger referred to a reference edit he was viewing right before he embarked on his Wall tour.

Oh man an AMLOR in 5.1 will be awesome!5.1 of the DB sort of kills the highlight of my DB box I got tho except for the vinyl. So the only album not getting a 5.1 release (not including those in the can or being worked on)will be The Final Cut.I can see a 2 disc set with a CD and Blu ray including surround and those videos.

On the other hand, Ron might merely be saying that there won't be any vehicles included in this package.

While we wait and for those that haven't read it, an enjoyable and appropriate book to get in the mood for this release is 'Pink Floyd: Backstage' by Bobby Hassall. It revolves around the '89 and '94 European tours and is a fairly short read but interesting.

A shame if this isn't included. I mean, it's new music by PF, just in the form of a film ost. That's like them not including More or Obscured by Clouds in TEY set.

Besides the surround mixes of the late Floyd albums on DVD/Blu-ray I hope they gonna put in the original stereo mixes in hi-res as well.

It's nothing like that at all, really odd comparison. Obviously Meddle and OBC aren't new music. Neither is the LCP soundtrack but it is unreleased.

The 5.1 mixes of Waters-era Floyd are James Guthrie's domain and should never have been done by Andy Jackson. That's why Waters wouldn't approve them. Waters has no say in this release and their omission is merely a personal preference by the artist.
