I think they may model it after the flight case that Floyd used for the touring then. Maybe not. I can't wait to see, either, along with whatever other art material is in the box itself, like the replica prints.

If TEY was modelled after the black Transit van with the stripe, could TLY be modelled after one of the colourful TDB tour airships? The Division Belle - Pink Floyd - A Fleeting Glimpse

  4. My guess would be that Gilmour doesn't want "...Panamerica" out again, because it heavily features Steve O'Rourke who was his co-driver in the race.

You wouldn't see Steve on the audio tracks.

There have been quite a few posts from that era, it doesn't necessarily mean anything regarding an imminent announcement. The Early Years was announced at the end of July. I think we're still a few weeks off but that's just an educated guess.

    Here’s my small wishlist:

    AMOLR remixed
DSOT and Venice on Bluray (which seems to be happening)
    TDB demos
Alternate performances from the Pulse tour
Pulse on Bluray (which also seem likely to be happening)

I'd like to see the box set shaped as one of the Division Bell statues.

They should add two to the box to use as bookends

Or, if you're going to bother, go big.

I'd like to see twin actual stone heads (billed as functional book-ends but somehow not shaped right to get the job done) with mouths that open to spill out a series of marbles that have images of the band members' heads in them. Additionally, laser pointers should be installed in the eyes so you can create your own light show.

Optionally, instead of marbles, the mouths can be motorized to sing "Peace Be With You" when a recessed button is hit.

No actual music is held in the heads. Instead, there's a large pedestal they rest on in shipment which contains all of the music duplicated on vinyl, CD, DVD, Blu-ray, and 8-track cassette.

    That'll be $1,995 MSRP, please.

It is funny to me, as I just finally bought a boot dvd of the DSOT concert a couple of weeks back... but I welcome any deluxe treatments of AMLOR and DSOT. I had no knowledge of some of these things like the car race vhs songs and other stuff until reading this thread... but I do hope for some surprises. I love David Gilmour and the later PF, so this should be a great treat for me. Even just to have hi-res sound of the albums will be great, as I only have that for the Endless River.

I just had a thought: AFAIK () TER contained one track from LCP with 0% Rick but Anthony Moore on keyboards. This seemed strange to me back then - on a tribute to Rick! Maybe this was done because it was the only LCP track that DG actually likes. And he wanted it to be released so the remaining score could be burried for all eternity as far as DG is concerned.

Sounds reasonable to me, sadly ...

There are no tracks from Last Carrera Panamericana (LCP) on The Endless River (TER) as far as I know (AFAIK).
What track are you referring to?

Calling is the track I am referring to. I vividly remember hearing it first on ATFOS where it was included under the LCP section, engine noise and all ...

A YouTube commenter says it's from Colours of Infinity. He is probably right. I don't have ATFOS anymore, so I can't check it, but I would not be surprised to find out I was wrong. I often am.

It's right that parts of Calling were used in Colours of Infinity :)
Also a short time before The Endless River was released a demo and rareties compilation was released titled Secret Rareties. It held a few demos that were very similar to some tracks on The Endless River as well as a few Division Bell demos that are quite interesting :)
Definitely worth getting if you can manage to get hold on a copy :)

I think I read that Gilmour's original idea for PULSE was something like this, but proved to costly...hence the blinking LED light.
