Or "The Endless River - Forever and Ever"
And ever and ever
No announcement yet?
Not to be confused withhttps://www.discogs.com/Pink-Floyd-Forever-And-Ever/release/8954307
Yes - the 2CD Cre/ation is a good digest of tracks from all 7 volumes of TEY.
An LP of lockgrooves from the album. It would immediately be their longest ever LP and their shortest at the same time...
I see a Dark Side up to Final Cut encompassing set with a bunch of studio outtakes, rehearsals, demos, live shows, alternate and new mixes - possibly some in 5.1. What do I get?
You won’t get Final Cut live stuff ;-)
True, but I would pay the umpteenth penny to hear one of David and Roger’s arguments during those sessions. That would better than something live...
Did Roger play any Final Cut songs live?
That i don’t know. Sorry.
During the KAOS tour in '87 he used to play a medley of Get Your Filthy Hands.../Southampton Dock, and I believe Not Now John was played as well. And recently he played Two Suns In The Sunset for the first time in concert!
He have played a few since 1999: Fletcher Memorial.., Get Your Filthy Hands.., Gunners Dream
I saw Roger at Earls Court on his Dark Side tour in 2007 when 'Southampton Dock' and 'The Fletcher Memorial Home' were in the excellent set list.
As it's coming up to nearly ten years since the Immersion campaign, I wouldn't be against another look at the middle period to include Animals and The Final Cut along with the 'big three' if it was all collected together. Especially if The Wall and The Final Cut get 5.1 mixes to go with those already done.
I'm curious to see how this Later Years material is presented first of course.
Two Suns In The Sunset has been played too. In fact, quite a lot of TFC has been played live.
It's already 4pm here...
I'm on NYC time this week! A lot has already been revealed here but you can bank on all that's wrapped in the upcoming daily spoiler alerts.
Just came in and read that today is spoiler time! Uh-oh!!
DELICATE SOUND OF THUNDER - VIDEO (1988)
Transferred from the original 35mm film negative to 4k. Looks amazing! Remixed in stereo & surround. Includes tracks not previously included but as extras, not part of the main feature. Not every song they played will be included, some were not filmed. Don't expect to see Welcome to the Machine. Po Powell is coordinating this one.
LIVE IN VENICE - VIDEO (1989)
Remastered in stereo only. The image will be an upgrade from the broadcast but don't expect too much of a quality jump. Also bumped up from SD.
LIVE AT KNEBWORTH - VIDEO (1990)
New edit but don't expect a significant amount of change. Up-rez'd from SD and should look better than the previous Blu-ray release. Remixed in stereo and surround. Gavin Elder, who directed Pompeii, was in charge of this one.
Lana and her team are once again handling the video restoration for all which means outstanding quality control.
Please leave spoilers in spoiler format. More to come tomorrow and throughout the week....
Now this thread will start to go on fire. Call the firedepartment.
Don't leaks cause flooding?
leaks will cause short-circuits in the heads of the avid floyd fans.
Well that got me excited already
Any chance to see DSoT in UHD? or just BD/DVD?
I'm assuming they're staying the course. Blu-ray, DVD and CD formats just like last time. My guess is individual boxes as well like they did for TEY but that's just a guess.
