From threads I have read about everyone's archive releases, somebody is going to need a little cheese with their w(h)ine :)

Think it was one of the interviews when the Early Years box set came out.
(If I remember right) In this video here Nick is mentioning the possibility of remixing Animals.

How long after the big Early Years box were the individual sets released? As much as I want the Later Years box, if it's going to be $500 like TEY, then I'm just going to have to wait.

They were put out 3 or 4 months later.

The box set came out in November 2016 and the individual sets in March 2017, I think. So maybe 4 months.

50/50 chance still. There's a chance they wait til next month. Looking back on TER, album details didn't emerge until September 23 iirc. And PF Management were ticked when TEY was leaked back in July 2016, so, had it not leaked, it probably would have followed the same schedule as TER.

I think it's more than just history that made DSoT seem momentous. Storm Thorgerson's art really made the latter-day Floyd releases something special. Maybe I'm just sentimental here, but his later work really made just about anything feel like some dispatch from the beyond. That influence is sorely missed.

I don't even own DSoT and that artwork makes me pause every time I see it in a CD rack.

IMO, Storm Thorgerson deserves a '6th Pink Floyd member' status.

That's a huge assumption with nothing factual to back it up. They have a release strategy planned for this and TEY has nothing to do with it.

Right, I was just going by past releases, and that they could follow a similar schedule. I even stated there's still a chance next week, also. Just guesstimating is all.

You don't have Delicate Sound of Thunder? I take it you're not going to buy the new box set either?

Some reason I think he'd make the same face as the one when he's really into his solos...

Aside from the audio/video content of the box, I can't wait to see some of the cool tour posters/flyers that accompany it all.

Though I didn't get to see Floyd at all in 94 ( I was 3 that year, lol), I like this Oakland Coliseum poster from then.
