I really like Wind and Zuma, but there are more songs I like on Wind then Zuma, although "Cortez" is the best song on either of them, but I still went for Wind.

Yeah, I've heard at least half the tracks from it on various other comps. Waiting for a decent used vinyl copy to turn up at my store, but it's one I never see actually.

The self-titled Crosby/Nash is awesome, and I particularly like Croz's stuff on it ("Whole Cloth" and "The Wall Song" with several members of the Grateful Dead guesting).

Agreed. Other two albums are very good, Zuma is classic!

Neil does polarize his fans. somewhat, although I'm aware that many of them enjoy Zuma more than I do. :)

Always been indifferent to Cortez. I keep trying but its charms are staying hidden.

    Love 'em.

But these days I might regard This Path Tonight as Graham's best.

    Zuma by a ton.

Those other records don’t have anything near Cortez the Killer.

Stills is an uneven album and not among Stephen's best, yet it does contain some quality tracks. Wind On The Water is a gem, but Zuma is in another league.

For 1975 it should have gone like this:

    Tonight's the Night
    Zuma
    Wind on the Water
    Stills

I’m not so much into ranking albums. What was great was that we got really good work from all quarters of CSNY. ZUMA is one of Neil’s best. Wind on the Water is Crosby/Nash’s best, mostly owing to the quality of Cruz’s contributions. And Stills is under appreciated. At its core is a bunch of songs that had been earmarked for various CSNY projects over the years that Stills finally realized were never going to happen. It is a consistently strong album with a cohesion that belies the age of some of the recordings.

it was probably the last year that the various parts of CSNY were all clicking at the same time. I can’t really rank them, it depends on what I feel like hearing. But I enjoy all of them.

    Zuma for me, thanks.

I like all of it. The others, not so much.

Really like "Wind", and saw C&N when they toured behind it, but Zuma is pretty friggin' good, huh? Re: the cover of Wind...couldn't Croz had buttoned his shirt up some? lol

Three very strong albums. Zuma, and it also has the best cover.

I feel Wind was the best thing any of them put out between 4 Way Street and Ragged Glory

Love Wind On the Water which is the highlight release of the Crosby,Nash duo but over the years Zuma has steadily marched to the top of the list of my favorite NY albums and since it now the most played of the many releases I have by Neil my vote was a no brainer.

Pretty dang well...Zuma is a different flavor, but heavy duty...

When you listen to Poncho's rhythm guitar on "CTK", you hear why he was asked to join the band. Totally perfect to accompany Neil's playing.
"Change Your Mind" is another example of Neil & Poncho blending like taters, butter, and milk ;)

I think they are all great but have to vote Zuma for sentimental reasons and because I love some of the songs. But it is uneven.

What a waste of a thread. It's bleeding obvious who would win in a landslide. Did you really think otherwise??
