I love both almost equally. No one is better live than Springsteen so he gets my vote.

I disagree. Most people are better live than dead.......

Voted for Neil based on studio work. Would have voted for Bruce based on live work.

There's a couple of Springsteen records that I really, really like, but I find something to like on every Neil Young record I've ever heard. I pick Neil, he's Canada's greatest export and his work never gets old. There's a kind of seemingly effortless honesty in his music. Now of course there have been some Neil albums which seem contrived but on the whole I think he's writing from his heart. Springsteen's grand gestures can seem a bit forced at times.

I absolutely cannot stand Bruce Springsteen. I really can't find anything about any song I've ever heard from him that I've liked. I'd probably rather bash my own head in with a tire iron than listen to a full length album by him.

On the other hand, I find a whole lot to like about Neil Young's songs from the '60s, '70s and early '80s and have quite a few of his albums as well as his wonderful Archives set.

Neil Young gets my vote by a MILE.

While it took some getting into, "The Rising" has become a favorite of mine. No, I'm not anywhere near a huge fan although seeing him in 1975 was well worth the free tix. But that album is quite well done on all counts-try it a few more times-just sayin'.
