Orchid and Kadavar are both excellent. I have several releases from both bands.

So somebody other than him finds them appealing.

 

I like what I've heard of Blood Ceremony. The singer wrings a pretty nice organ sound outta those keyboards!

 

Maybe Ramilo would like them better if they had Dave Mustang from Megadeath on vocals.

 

Nah Dave Mustang can't sing. Magadeth needed a real singer that could perfectly hit a lot of notes. That would have fit the music much better.

 

OK. You seem to be critical of many singers and that is your opinion. Can you at least tell us what Metal singers you think are good?

Ya know, a client of mine before I retired did some promotional stuff and had friends that played for the LFC so you and I are like brothers....kind of.

 

How anyone can do anything else at the same time with the stuff he is plays on guitar is beyond my comprehension.

I think I know what you mean. Self-proclaimed "singers" who sound like angry dogs in a dog growling contest. We have to draw the line in the sand somewhere or else we'll end up being played like fools.

 

I understand your point, but will say that Winger and Warrant had talented players. The overly saturated mass of bands that followed the small minority of really good bands (regardless of liking their style) is what made it go that way, besides the Nirvana thing. Lol.

I guess I'll cast my lot with the "indifferent" camp. I own metal albums - Slayer, Metallica, Priest, Danzig, Motorhead, Sabbath - but the only metal I really like still retains a rock 'n' roll feel, like Motorhead. Most of it is far too dour and humorless for my tastes.
