I think Axis is a bit better than the debut nowadays. Idk, I looove Experienced, but I feel like Jimi just got better & better as time went on. The material on Cry of Love is better than anything he released prior, save for maybe EL, I'd say it's on that level though. Mitch Mitchell was a God among men, & Noel is pretty underrated imo, but not nearly as underrated as Axis is when compared to the other two Experience releases.

I guess Im biased since I come from a family that practices Hinduism but I'll have to pick Axis: Bold as Love for that incredible album cover that features a lot of Hindu gods/goddesses. The music is great too.

It is a great cover. Ironic that I was totally engrossed, staring at it, earlier today.

Great poll. Cant go past Voodoo Chile, my favorite Hendrix track, so EL for me, lots of creative stuff, but agree that all three are great albums.

The first two Hendrix albums are brilliant .

Electric ladyland side 1 and side 4 pretty much do it for me. That would have made it like the first two albums .

15 minute Voodoo Chile to long for me ( edited down to about 7 minutes)

Considering he went from being broke unknown Jimmy to Are You Experienced? Jimi in about 6 months, it's gotta be the debut. His transformation in that modest time frame and subsequent impact on planet Earth can only be underestimated.

Yes it's astounding how that happened. From penniless club musician to influential, revered, international superstar in half a year.

    Axis: Bold As Love.

Maybe it's because I have 4 copies of it... tho I still think it's a brilliant album.
