I have four copies of this album on vinyl. I have the US and UK LP's in the PVC outer sleeve, and both show some damage. I have two copies of the album that came with the deluxe box set (no PVC sleeve) and those are clean.

One of his absolute worst except for maybe two songs!

I just voted in all of them. My opinions seem to differ from the majority.

I'm kinda an idiot, because all this time I thought you were talking about the record cover itself, but you were actually talking about the plastic cover that it came with! I have indeed switched to another plastic cover for the album to protect the record cover. Thanks again for letting me know.

I got too busy today will have a video review in the near future for the fun of it. I wish more people knew about this album, it's really one of his best listens.

Tuneful and sonically fantastic. Lyrically, it sounds almost stream of consciousness sometimes. He's been honest and said he didn't want to "try too hard" with the lyrics as The Fireman, which I can appreciate (although I feel he employs that rationale fairly often). The only disappointment is that the excellent music really deserved better. Don't get me wrong, by and large, it still works. But it could have been pretty essential with a stronger effort on the lyrics, in my opinion.

Top of the line Macca. I listen to EA as much as record of his.

‘Sing the Changes’ is my favourite, although I prefer the version on the Good Evening New York City live album.

Guys, I'm starting to like this whole album. Turns out I needed to be in the right mood for it. :) It's perfect for a chill listen.

That album cover is better than that damn chair from Memory Almost Full!

I like the album artwork and how in the vinyl(it is probably in the CD) shows them Paul and that artist making it...

Pretty solid. I hope for at least one more regular album and one more fireman album from Paul.

    And then what? Death?

Let's hope for 10 more albums! Keep Macca ALIVE!

Don't think it works. He's no Beefheart, or Joni. Also his poetry speak in song verse really hurts the melody, more Art Garfunkel, than Renaissance art.

Goodness no! I hope for more as well, many more. I was just thinking by using the past release timeframes as an indicator.

Paul's pace has certainly slowed down. NEW came out in 2013, so he's overdue for his next release. His last burst of prolific activity (studio recordings, that is) came in 2005-2008, when he released the Chaos & Creation, Memory Almost Full, and Electric Arguments albums.

    Here's hoping history repeats itself.

  18. His best album in probably thirty years. He didn't chase the producer of the month or over think the material. It's a wonderful record.

  19. If it's like this Fureman album is might as well be a Paul album.

I'll raise you that and say his best album in probably 44 years.

I was only 10 when that period ended so, I can't imagine what that was like!

Or in the Beatle days or Wings with a new album every year..

Do I hear 48 years (that would be Abbey Road for those mathematically challenged)? Anybody? ;)
