Perhaps people are just tired of it. Nice song though

It's Only Love though is a very ordinary song even Lennon thought so

"‘It’s Only Love’ is mine. I always thought it was a lousy song. The lyrics were abysmal. I always hated that song" - John Lennon

HELP! is a wonderfully entertaining album as all Beatles albums are.
They were transitioning to their next phase to further their artistry.
My overall favourites are (not in any particular order):

    Help!
You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
    Yesterday
    Ticket To Ride
    I Just Seen A Face
    It's Only Love
You're Going to Lose That Girl

    1. Help!
    2. Hide Your Love
    3. I Need You
    4. Lose That Girl
    5. Ticket
    6. Seen a Face
    7. Yesterday

Pretty evenly balanced between Lennon & McCartney this time around, plus one of George's best. Strangely I seem to love "That Means a Lot" and "If You've Got Troubles" and probably would have voted for both.

    Rock on, anybody...

Macca is a lot more likable.
And I like his singing voice more. I wish he'd sing more lead vocals in Beatles records...

The night before and Another girl are really good, so joyful. I need you is terrible, lyrics and melodic-wise.. I can't stand it.
Help and You're going to lose that girl are awesome.
Side B is weak... It's only love it's passable, but not You like me too much (George wasn't inspired in this LP) and Tell me what you see. I've just seen a face is enjoyable. Yesterday of course it's the well deserved perennial classic

This LP is good but I prefer Beatles for sale.

    Both are essential

Help! (probably the first first psychedelic induced song by John, opened up the doors, indeed)

Always loved this album, and the title track is one of my favorite Beatles songs ever. It was the second Beatles album I purchased many moons ago, and starts to hint at what was to come in their peak period around the corner(those tracks I've bolded). For me it has 7 great tracks, which I voted for

    Help! ,
    The Night Before ,
You've Got To Hide Your Love Away ,
    Ticket To Ride,
    It's Only Love,
    I've Just Seen a Face,
    Yesterday

Another Girl, You're Gonna Lose that girl (Nice chord switch in the middle eight!) & Tell me What you see are decent. George's songs were not great, bit still listenable. He started to bloom with Rubber Soul. I happen to like Dizzy Miss Lizzy although it always seemed a bit 'tacked on' at the end of the album, just to make up the numbers so to speak. It's always good to hear John tearing his throat out on a rocker!

the only clunker is Act Naturally, which, being at the start of side 2 was always easy to skip!

I went with the same option, although I could do without "Yesterday"

"Yesterday" is still an okay song, but after hearing it so much thru the years, it's rather monotonous and boring...

"Dizzy Miss Lizzy" I like quite a bit. It's a glimpse into the true rock 'n roll side of Lennon.
