"Cry, Cry" is crying, and Daddy was exposed. Two more songs to go off this round. Vote your next weakest links.

Discussion question: When did you last hear the 1st album, and has your opinion of it changed?

You broke my heart, it's true...................

DQ: I listen to a few songs regularly, but the last time I listened to the album in full was probably sometime last fall. I was on a bit of a CT binge then.. My opinion hasn't changed from when I first heard it, really. Still just a good rock album.

I've listened to this one a lot recently as I was making some compilation CD's for the car and was picking my favorite tracks. Speak Now is my favorite track on the album. Votes this round:

    Taxman
    Ballad Of TV Violence

  6. Hollow Horse

Hollow Horse To pretend to be happy could only be idiocy

Missed the first round and as I said before my knowledge of Cheap Trick is practically zilch.

I would have to listen to all of these to come to a decision which I will later but right now we are listening to a Bruce Springsteen compilation.

And Duchess doesn't seem to mind!

I last listened to it around Halloween but spring is when I usually go nuts over Trick, so I'm fully expecting to have a few good binges once the thermometer hits 60.

I was late to the Cheap Trick party and it took a while to figure this album out. I last played it a couple years ago. Almost bought the new vinyl last time I was at Best Buy. I know it's a great album.

  11. I just picked up the Speaker's Corner vinyl a couple months back, so I've been listening to it a lot. I would usually play it once or twice a year, but have spun it a dozen times already in 2019. FYI that reissue is very nice.

I am so sorry to hear "Daddy" got the boot. That is one of my favorites. Absolutely creepy.

    "Hot Love"
"Mandocello" has a nice chill groove.

I’ve played it a lot this past week to get ready for this. Probably play it a few times a year normally. Still love it.

I played this straight through about a month ago and listen to it (and most Cheap Trick albums) throughout the year. My opinion has never changed on it.......a classic then as it is now.
