    my take? kaye found "fame" when many people's memory becomes "spotty". while for some "spotting" at that age, has stopped. it happens.

    well, that's clearly a "bass guitar" and probably a fender p. though i strongly doubt it was on the basic track(s).

    thanks for that. i do know a bass when it hits me in the head ;)

    add: listened to a cpl minutes. amazing to hear mediocrity isolated HA!

    She was great on all of the Beach Boys and the west coast pop that she played on but Motown Detroit era tracks.....
    The styles are different, she plays with a pick and Jamerson plays with his fingers. Why lie?

    Actually it was Jerry Jemmott. Also Ron Carter played upright on several notable Rascals tracks, and Gene Cornish played the bass line on Lonely Too Long and some others himself.
