A glaring omission is the great Vincent Crane. Sadly forgotten these days. :shake:

3 were easy picks in Emerson, Wakeman and Lord.

The other two were a bit tougher but I settled on Nicky Hopkins and Steve Winwood. However, Ian McLagan, Richard Wright and Rick Davies aren't much behind.

Not on the list: Eddie Jobson. His work with Zappa, U.K., Robert Fripp and Jethro Tull are evidence enough of his incredible talents.

Dave Greenslade is another glaring omission. Those Colloseum albums are stellar.

He's been mentioned here already but his name bears repeating: Thomas Dolby should absolutely be on the list. Amazingly talented yet very underrated keyboardist. Never seems to get the respect he deserves.

Nice to see Nicky Hopkins with the early lead. I didn’t expect that. Also voted for Chris Stainton, Steve Winwood and Gary Brooker. Still pondering a 5th.

“Hold Your Head Up” is one of my favorite keyboard solos on record.

I voted Nicky Hopkins and some other chaps. But there are some kind of silly options on this one...

    Ian McLagan from the list.

If he’d been there, I might’ve voted for Mick Talbot for his work with Dexys.

If being married to Neil Gaiman qualifies Amanda Palmer for a British passport, she’d get my third vote.

Nicky Hopkins is (IMHO) the best piano player in Rock and Pop music. Then come the others.

Nick Hopkins is far and away a better musician than anyone on that list. Professional musicians understand.

    Where is Mike Pinder?

I'm not saying I'd vote for him necessarily (although my enjoyment of the band makes it more likely), but shouldn't his name be up there?

And while Freddie Mercury was an excellent singer, was he as good a keyboard player to be mentioned in the same breath as all those well-known names?
