I'll kick off with this one, which brings back great memories of a terrific series - Hill Street Blues:

  10. Hawaii Five-0 is pretty happenin' - a lot of the appeal may be down to the catchy theme music, although that opening zoom on Jack Lord on the balcony is also kind of cool. I think it was Mad magazine who said that its main purpose was to establish that the show was actually in Hawaii, which you wouldn't always get from the episodes themselves. :)

  11. The circa-1966 opening for The Avengers can't really be called a title sequence, but what the hell - as an opening for a TV show it can't be beat.

Definitely, HAWAII 5-0 - The opening title sequence created by Reza Badiyi, theme by Morton Stevens - just perfect -

Ventures scored a chart hit later too

Always liked the West, so how 'bout this classic. When Men In Black II was released the clever subtitle was: Aliens Smith and Jones.

Roger Moore and Tony Curtis in 70's classic The Persuaders; my favourite theme music.
