A beautiful album. I love how happy and relaxed Dylan is on New Morning and that he's singing about it so directly. His voice and the sound of the album is very appealing too. Without doubt one of my favourite Dylan albums.

Pulp, Different Class, because it was a huge cut above anything I had heard recently when I bought it in 1995 (strictly off reviews).

Over the past 20 years, this is the album I've listened to most. Many, many mornings as the caffeine kicks in.

Began my discovery of an interesting, unfamiliar, pleasing sonic palette that I didn't know existed.
    I played this today.

Wow. There are 4 or 5 Eno things in here. I guess we can't count Fear of Music, but we can certainly count this. This thing still fills me and feels new. I remember the MTV vid with the backward-arm-chop-twister and the chanting "many a days go bye na na na na na na na..." , then I bought the album and, and, and have been funked up ever since.

one album from four different years in my life, not necessarily from the years of their release

(that's the word you're searching for you young trendites, when you use the word ''dropped''
Any serious record collector would never 'drop a record')

I'm on my phone, so I can't post a picture.

I may get a lot of guffaws... but I'm going to post that album that started the chain reaction in my life.
I always loved music, and my parents had records and reel to reel tapes on an old Grundig, and I loved listening to them.
Christmas 79 I think it was my sister and I got two records to share for our presents.
I gravitated towards this album that captured my imagination, and has music that I liked ....
It was Kiss Dynasty, and whether it is nostalgia or whatever i still like it.
but the thing is, that record lead me to realise that i could have my own music... from that point on music was my number one purchase, and yu he range got broader with each passing month.

Stella Mozgawa alone inspires me to pick up drum sticks (even though I play bass). She is wonderful to witness live.
