I was all over Roll Over Beethoven as a kid. Although The Monkees were (and remain) my favorite group, the songs on this made me an absolute Beatle-maniac. My second favorite group. I still have my grandmother's original mono vinyl of this and the others through Revolver. This album in particular introduced me to the concept of a "cover song" and different arrangements of the same tune. And also just good OG era rock 'n roll.

This album and Leon's first appearances on SNL really changed the way I thought about older music and fingerstyle acoustic guitar. I still go back to it for a good time and inspiration.

The Pinhead KING OF BOOM AND SIZZLE IN HELL

It not that much the album per se, but the fact that it made me realize I wasn't alone, thatr there were like-minded people all around the globe, before the movement started in my own country. And the fact I listened to it while doing my mandatory military service fueled my hatred toward the system yet further.

Steal ten dollars and you're nothing but a thief. Steal a masterpiece and you're considered a mastermind. The latter applies to you.

Looks like I'm posting 5 then lol.

I won't bother with artwork because I'm only doing this on my phone but the artwork would surely be familiar to most who are interested in this sort of things anyway. :p

Let's say, these are albums that have stuck closely to me for decades and I don't think (hopefully) I'd ever tire of them. The first being my very fave of all... after that, they are not in any particular order and I'd not like rank them in any way but they all changed my musical mind in one way or the other...

    Hendrix - Electric Ladyland
    Cream -- Disraeli Gears
Madness - One Step Beyond (obviously!)
    Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
    Genesis - Foxtrot

The album that I found in a charity shop once upon a time and all of a sudden I wanted to hear a TON more like this (jazz, easy listening etc etc... never really be one one for genres but you get the general idea...) and of course have plenty of Sinatra in the collection!

There was once a time when I was incredibly inside this album. Nice pick.
