Nice! I never have seen Primus, which is rather unfortunate considering how long I've been listening to their music. Herb Alexander is still one of my all-time favorite drummers.

I've always been nostalgic about the Advent Loudspeakers that were part of my first real stereo in 1972. Happily listened to them for 15 years, but then was chasing improvement with a bunch of different speakers until I took a chance on Altec 19's about 15 years ago. Decided to get rid of the home theater system in our great room after finding a very clean pair of Advents just like I used to have. Sounds fine for TV and for mostly casual listening like Radio Paradise they're great. Still have my listening room, but I am appreciating having a second system.

A bit of an update. New DAC and deleted a few things (DDC & it's LPS).

Well, I think for the most part, at least as far as amp/preamp/speakers go, I'm pretty much done. MC30's came in today. Coupled with a C11 pre, and the Cornwalls, I can't see myself enjoying a system more then I do now.

Just wanted to give a follow up .... I pulled the trigger on some Custom Designs FS Series for the Kef R3 (larger top plate). Because of this image I ended up going with the White center column and brushed chrome satellite post just like the image above.

The folks at Kemela Contemporary Audio were great to deal with and very nice people. Highly recommend.

That's great! These stands are not well-known in the US, but they are excellent.

Just be sure to add some filler to all five columns. The little ones are slow-going because the opening is so tight - I took a piece of junk mail printed on card stock and made a funnel with it.

Definitely. I actually have the same inert filler they sell in my current stands. I plan on dumping it in a plastic bin and transferring it over.

I've read good results with 70% fill. What have been your experiences?

I like your rig…if it was me, I’d disengage the speakers from the carpet for a bit more detail, and perhaps more imaging , as well as air and impact. Wouldn’t hurt to at least try if not already done so to see what you get.

No major changes here but I replaced my rickety old two piece amp stand with a white ash platform from Butcher Block Acoustics. I like the look it cleaned up that area nicely, obviously not quite as wide as my amp, which is a ludicrous 22" wide, but it works just fine the amps footers are inset about 3 inches either side.

Hmmm... I think that amp would go well with my turntable, which is a little over 21" wide:
