Time for some a+b comparisons before my ADS 1530's go to a new home later this week. The 1530's have a touch more bottom end but everything else belongs to the Polks behind them
Replaced Audia Flight FL3S integrated with a Naim Uniti Atom perfect match for my Focal Aria 926s speakers and Focal headphones
beautiful, looking better all the time. i remember when i had a tv screen near my system i loved to have the tv on with no sound while listening to music. just something to keep the visual mind active.....
Curious as to why you have your 1530s reversed? I've had 1230s in the past and loved them and dreamed of having L1530s. Had a pair of 910s briefly, too. So you could say I love a/d/s.
Yes I'll swap them out the other way tomorrow. I was thinking they might match the soundstage width of the Polks better facing outwards. Yes I'm also an ADS fan and have had several pair of them pass through here to. These 1530's are what sent my 1230's off to a new home. They are wonderful sounding speakers and have been recapped along with Richard So refurbished mids and tweets.
Thanks! Most of the time I just close my eyes and disappear into the soundstage ! But yes, it's one of my favorite ways to kill an evening, Tv on without sound and music playing...only when my wife is out though because it drives her crazy . Also tried the panels in front of the Tv...didn't like that.
I had to downsize a lot when I moved into this tiny apartment. My larger speakers were sold off and I've been making do with these small a/d/s L470's which sound pretty good for their size and cost. They will soon be replaced by a larger pair of a/d/s L1230's. I might have to move the two outer racks over to where the Ikea unit sits on the right. The electronics are mostly vintage Marantz which I have been rebuilding slowly. The posters are originals except for the center one. New photo coming next month.
I have always done the same. However, the music is way more intense without it. I do often turn off the TV and I'm rewarded for doing so.
Artnovion. They are in EU though (Portugal) so probably not an option for US customers. @mgee you are in Slovenia I see so maybe these panels are an option for you (so these are not diy ..I wish I could though )?!
I even wonder how they are able to make them?! How can they get the wavy pattern in the wood? Mine are also wood but spray covered with high gloss paint...
They had to use an electronic router table for the wavy pattern, don't know how they would have done the elongated holes.
