That doesn't work on my machine. I can't really tell what that does. If my cursor is near your post and I click in the bottom right that's all that it does is highlights your signature and time stamp even thought the cursor is like 6 inches away.

The PecanPi streamer can also act as a DAC as it has a SPDIF input.

It can also be purchased without the streaming functionality and be a DAC only with SPDIF input.

Jeez - you'd have to go out of your way to get a system to sound bad in that room. Magnificent.

That first room by Fernando sounds great I'm sure, but it just doesn't have that warm inviting feel, don't think I'd spend much time there.

I've been lurking around a few months, but figured it was time to create an account and present myself.

I'm Paul from Sweden and I've been out of the audio game for the last 15 years since at that time it became more about the gear than the music. During this time I've had small home theatre setups of which the latest was Sonos. However, the desire to be able to sit down and enjoy music has come back and here I am.

My taste in music is singer/song writer, classic rock and country. Due to my age I also have a soft spot for 80s music. :)

I decided to keep the system simple and focus on that it should work in a apartments living room.

Tidal is steamed on an iPad through a Hegel Röst using AirPlay and played on Monitor Audio Silver 200s. The occasional CD or DVD concert is played on a Samsung Blu-ray connected with a coax to the Hegel. TV with Apple TV is hooked up to the Hegel as well to enjoy movies. To connect it all I've used Audioquest Cinnamon and Rocket 33 cables.

Right now the only itch I really have is that it would be nice to be able to play the records I have in storage. This will however have to wait as I'm sitting happy right now.

The view from the casual listening position.

Welcome Paul! Cute pup and nice simple system, also love that credenza and that lampshade is killer! Maybe try checking out streaming via wifi rather than Airplay it may sound better, then again it may not. Happy listening!

Living that passive preamp life with the shortest interconnects possible. Sounds absolutely wonderful.

Had to delete the turntable for now, but eventually the plan is to involve a shelf.

Buddy of mine built me a two-cubby flip bin for my singles and new arrivals. Spalted gumwood, which Id never heard of.

Bin looks great, so does the rest of the rig and the whole room. Really nice. Nice tube caddy, I’ve got an old Sylvania which looks OK but yours looks like it came out of a time machine.

I always love seeing your room. Is that the recent Third Man release of Dopesmoker?

Thanks dude, the stuff you built me really ties the room together.

And confirmed: that’s the new Dopesmoker and it rips. The bass is unreal.

Hmm. This is what I get when either click the bottom right or control+click on top left. (2021 MacBook Pro M1 running Monterey and using Chrome).

Bonus points for Front Line Assembly!

I've been looking for something small for a current rotation bin for a while. I continue to be torn between aesthetics (like yours) or storage density (getting some storage underneath).

A little bin that’s hip-height is really nice, I gotta say.
