Love the Kallax underframes! I'm running two 4x2 Kallax with underframe for my vinyl storage. The extra 7" of height is perfect. It keeps my bottom row of records above the floor level dust and make reading the edges of the spines a lot easier on my back and knees.
New speakers in the lineup.... This is my 5th pair of Omegas... I love Louis' craftsmanship and his Alnico driver. Finally decided to do a full custom build. Fronts are burled walnut, sides top/back fumed oak. WBT binding posts on back. These are my forever Omegas
Totally gorgeous Roger is that your own creation? I love the small platforms on the two shelves great idea!
They look awesome Kray and now you have your dream table and your dream speakers! I really love your system! So many tubes and hi-eff speakers yummy.
It is actually the premade shelf pieces you can get from Lowes and I added a skirt to make them look more like a slab. I then torched the wood very carefully with a propane torch, sanded and then clear coated. Its a technique called Shou Sugi Ban.
Yes Jon, all DIY The small platforms are made from left over ceramic tiles and are great so I can have more gear on one shelf and keep the foot print of the rack smaller.
Same here on the “ why did it take me so long”. I have the Heresy IV’s and absolutely love em. And I was a never Klipsch guy
If you shave a 5" landing strip down the middle of my skull you will know what i look like now ...my wife has aged better than me
Excellent! Posted these pics here years ago. Note the similarities. Sticky Fingers with the zipper? . . .
You made the right choice for your room, for sure. My Fortes have the salt and pepper grills, which were only available on the Ebony Special Edition for version III. I’m sitting in front of them in my living room now. I just showed my wife your room and pointed out that you have the same speakers she does. She said your room is gorgeous, and she really likes the finish on your speakers. I agree with her.
Congrats on the new home! And your last room was absolutely beautiful and gear was top shelf! So I am itching to see what your next room/structure is going to be.
