Thank you! I did. Louis gave me the site he gets his veneer from and I chose. I Ran it by him to make sure he thought it would work well together. As he explained some things I’d never would have thought of.
Did someone say Sushi ?! First thing I thought when I saw your shelves...he must have 'burned' or 'torched' the wood. Nice work!
Thank you, Sir! I'm really fortunate and excited for this opportunity to change things up. But, it was not an easy decision to leave behind that former room - I sure have been missing it these past few months.
Thank you, first time doing this technique. It was a fun build. The steel pipe was a little bit of chore to get straightish and plumbish......lol good amount shimming..
What are the record storage items on top of the Kallax? Are those also from IKEA? Looks great! Thanks!
Those are the Bin-E browser bins in Natural White from LPBin.com. The ledge shelves for displaying the album cover art are from Wayfair. They are 56" long and come in a 2-pack.
Very kind of you both. Thank you. Just looked up those v3 Ebony Special Editions. Veneer looks amazing and the salt and pepper is the perfect match.
Thank you, they ended up matching some furniture really well. I was a little unsure of the dark veneer at first - it was those grills that sucked me in.
Room system update completed yesterday: a recording center. Can record to reel to reel, cassette, and cd. Can record from vinyl, cd, sacd, dvd audio, and concert dvd's. All made possible by the connectivity options afforded by a Denon AVR 5803. Love the older AVR's for this reason. 2.1 playback made possible with Polk RT55i 's and Klipsh sub. System also includes items from Oppo, Tascam, Fluance, Teac, Emotiva, Harmon Kardon, and Cambridge Audio. Took a fair share of the afternoon to plan, organize, engineer, connect and troubleshoot. A great way to spend the day.
