Thanks! This room got finished around 2010. I framed about half of it or more and double layer drywalled it except for the ceiling. I couldn't hang drywall the ceiling by myself so I hired someone to do that. Got some office cubicle walls in good shape free for hauling. I put wood trim on the edges of the cube walls and found some brackets to use to hang them on the walls. Most of the bigger items in the room were purchased used at bargain prices. Also, I collected most of this stuff over ~50 years. So, I don't have as much $$ invested in it as it might appear.
That's true. My knees were only about an inch off the dashboard. Using the clutch and other pedals was difficult and very awkward. I was lucky it was a relatively short drive and mostly on a major highway. Also, I would never laugh at the idea of getting some Altecs.
I've recently expanded my sources to include reel-to-reel. These items aren't hugely rare, but they're extremely difficult to find now in mint condition and full working order, like this one:
Haha! That’s actually a coworker’s place. My wife normally paints for pleasure, but she has done a few such commissioned pieces for the expat crew since we got here. A bit of art on the wall can go a long way in making a foreign apartment feel more like a home. And having a decent hifi setup doesn’t hurt either!
New photo following addition of Merrill Audio Thor Mono Blocks: The Simaudio Moon Neo 340i is relegated to pre-amp duty to send a signal, via H/T pass-thru to my sub. It will be up for sale in the near future.

Is that a roll of flooring pad behind your right speaker? Is that to disperse air from rear ports? What do you have behind your left speaker?
Beautiful system! Is it my imagination, or are your speakers leaning back more in the second picture than in the first?
