Ha! No, not a Tyler thing, though I can see it now.. They're an attempt to keep the acoustics from vibrating with the stereo. Nothing fancy, just a Takamine and my first guitar, a Japanese-made Yamaha classical from the 60's.
The 2M mono. Thought about the Koetsu, the Miyajima and the Hana, but my local dealer, whom I wanted to support, carries Ortofon and I wanted to start with something simple and solid without spending a ton, since this is my first mono deck. That was a run on sentence. Sorry.
Since I subscribed to the Whispering Solo Piano channel, I have wanted to set a small, left overs component system in the bedroom, this solo only piano channel is a great sleeping pill. So, here is a nice hodgepodge of components and my new Polk LSiM 703 bookshelf speakers. It all worked out so nicely, thanks for looking. Wow, just a GREAT system, beautifully laid out, and I also like your record doctor's office on one side of the room, you have got it all going on, thanks for sharing.
Turntable. Receiver. Speakers. I love the simplicity. I also love the beefy back half of that receiver. Great looking system and room.
Not overshared. A nice set of pictures that shows what you do for playback, storage, and cleaning. Neat! The record cleaning counter does look like a kitchen counter with a bunch of kitchen appliances on it. That's what I took the toaster comment to refer to.
Plywood is much stronger than MDF in that regard, no additional support is needed. The ones I have my vinyl on do sag slightly though, maybe an 1/8" or 3/16" over 4' after decades of use.
Great system. Not overshared at all. That’s a helluva record cleaning station. Which gives better results...the VPI or the Ultrasonic cleaner?
Beautiful! Thanks for taking those photos- just a quick question though: how do you attach the wooden plinth to the body of the turntable? What keeps it from slipping dow
My dream is to go fully loaded! That is beautiful. Here is mine again, Ittok LVII Audio-Technica AT33-PTG/II Cirkus Bearing Kore sub-chassis Trampoline 2 Lingo 3
