LOL. Yeah my CD cabinet on the other side of the room is full. I need a (non-Dead) CD purge to make some room.
Mine, got it set up a few days ago. They actually drove them up-wanted to hit the local Casino Records are against another wall. (which I'm running out of)
Gorgeous table! I googled the Alphason Sonata and saw it in wood veneer and black but no pics of acrylic and gold. Is that original or did you modify it? Cool system overall too love the Spica's!
Nice room. Just curious, where did you find those square shaped prints? I've been thinking about picking some of those up, possibly with album cover artwork.
Good eye. Some are in the CD cabinet I mentioned on the other side of the room. But you are right I am missing a some DaP. I missed all of year 1 and cherry picked two in year 2 (#5 & #8) and then subscribed in year 3 and have been on board ever since. We do need some new Miles though.
First, a commendation for your number of Zeppelin pressings. Second, what is that album series with the black spines on the upper right?
Thanks for the compliment. The turntable is a TransRotor Classic gold, made in Germany. I bought it not knowing what it was from a seller who also didn’t know what it was! The looks jogged my memory after buying and I was able to google it. The motor pod was missing so I had to buy a Project one which works perfectly. The arm is a Roksan Artemiz. A new addition which I have just had rewired by a great guy in the UK, Johnnie 7 from Audio Origami.
I spy a Blasphemy flag - not a band you see much in audiophile circles - good to see some diversity! based on that and the Dark Funeral poster on your door you and I would have a lot in common music taste wise
Glad to know there are other audiophiles who appreciate extreme music! Most audiophiles started out as music lovers and no, I have not given up on music I love just because they won't sound audiophile on my audio equipment. Having said that, Dark Funeral sounded great in my system! Hail!
I recently added another system in my house. This one using a pair of Quad 2905 electrostatic speakers. Having had Martin Logan CLS and Prodigy in the past, I am amazed with the Quads. They have the speed and immediacy, with the added benefit of real bass. Here is a pic with some 845 SET amps. The bass was a little muddy with the tubes, so I swapped them for a pair of Ampzilla 2000 solid state mono blocks and the speakers came to life. Huge sound stage and serious tight bass.
