It’s the stock one? The alignment paper template is on it. Oh, the platter is metal, there’s a black tape type stuff around the perimeter.
My first real TT. Still have it (almost 40 years and purchased at a high fi shop in Kingston Ontario) and a spare. Made in Scotland where you and you table currently reside.
Just got my office / listening room setup in my new apartment after a cross country move. I haven’t had a dedicated listening room in awhile and I’m taking full advantage. It took some time to get the sub placement right but now it blend and sounds fantastic. The cabinet was custom made by my father and I as a “welcome back” present and I absolutely love it.
i know, geez. working in my new preamp now, thought i loved it, not 100% sure about the sound. just a tad too dark and rich and not responding well to tube changes.....
I can't recall how many times I thought I was at the end of my equipment journey only to hear something better a few years later. Hope your preamp trade-up works out in the end.
Aw, sorry to read that. Is this the Rogue Audio RP-7? I’m sure you’ve scoured for tube suggestions. Maybe a silver mains fuse would help a little. I had a McIntosh C220 which to me had a similar issue. Gold Lion 12AX7s and a silver mains fuse took things in the right direction for me. Not sure if power cord could affect things (despite the naysayers). More recently I’ve had Shunyata Venom cords make a positive difference, not necessarily from dark to light but a more musical presentation. That was with my Parasound P 7 preamp and a Venom 3 (discontinued, replaced by Venom 14).
Garrard 301 in a Woodsong Audio plinth, Aric Audio Unlimited preamp, Marantz NR1200 stereo receiver and Definitive Technology Demand D9 speakers on stands.
Yes...obviously did something wrong...I saved the images in IMGUR...then copied the link to the image link on the post...any help would be great.
You are probably using the URL for the actual page the images are embedded in and not the URL to the direct link to the images themself.
Thanks, my father is very talented, plus he’s retired so it was fun putting him to work in this! Here it is head on:
