I suspect they were visible earlier but the poster subsequently deleted them from the hosting site making them invisible now.

After a few years in a finished basement, we’ve moved and now I’m in an unfinished basement (again). But this one sounds better and allows more room. And I’m no longer sharing space with a kids’ playroom.
This is a very good turntable. Not much a brainer to setup and really consistent over time. I have owned it since almost 10y... My other turntable is also a no brainer, a SL1200 with a Dynavector DV 10x50 mk2. Same love for both. Not sure I'm helpful here
That is a really fantastic system and a great mix of sources and I've heard that those active ATC's are tremendous speakers! Did I also see some Manley monoblocks on your bottom shelf?
That looks like a warm cozy listening space! May I ask what speakers? They aren't the Proac's you list in your profile.
Nice big space and I love all your media storage! Any plans to do any soundproofing/room treatments as you finish the basement?
Yep, those are my 2 babies Manley reference 440/200 with lots of KT90 inside. They are usually in my other system but I needed them here... I will move them back in a few days and will post a few pics of my second room (ATC 50, pre Grace Design m905, reel Otari, Sony CDP 500, SL1200) Cheers
Thanks very much...sometimes it gets a little too warm. "Take a log off the fire will ya!" The speakers are Sony SS-Na5es. I still have the ProAcs, but I'm chasing down my ultimate standmount and so I'm auditioning the Sonys. Pretty sure they are my next long-term speaker. Really fun product!
When we finish the basement, I’ll definitely take sound into account for sure. I think that’s a long way off though! It sounds pretty good right now. I put some Rockwool insulation in the ceiling over the listening area and covered the walls with the drop clothes you see. There is insulation behind there so the room is comfortable both for temperature and sound. I have small kids so I rarely get to really crank it anyway.
I just googled those speakers they look nice Sony seems to design some really good under the radar speakers. Under the radar from an audiophile perspective that is!
Most audiophiles wouldn't consider speakers from Sony, but they are seriously as good as any compact speaker I've had in 30 years. I'm sure my JVC amp would raise some eyebrows too!
Something went amiss with my turntable on Friday and I’m trying to decide what to do next. So it’s in timeout while I recover emotionally.
