It was a Christmas gift for my wife several years ago from George Jone's site. It was the perfect size to cover the room treatments behind it so it got confiscated to the music room.

It’s like one and a half more steps than just uploading here. Instead of uploading here, uploaded to Imgur. Once it’s uploaded, click on the picture. The picture will open up, with a variety of links on the right. Copy the BBC link and post it here.

It really is not complicated at all. Not sure why you’re making a mountain out of a molehill.

Seems like something one would acquire once they have an ex-wife but kudos nonetheless to your wife for excellent taste in music

Again, it is an extra and unnecessary cost on a forum that has zero advertising and is supported entirely by user donations.

This is a large forum, which has been in existence now for nearly two decades without the benefit of advertising income.

People today like to share their photos. Many use Facebook to accomplish this. As has been explained, it is not that complicated of a process, every photo in these threads is hosted on one photo hosting site or another.

Once you have uploaded your photos to a hosting service, you are free and able to share them with others anywhere in the world by only uploading them once.

Not only can you share them on other web sites but you can also share them in your emails by simply placing a link.

Keep in mind, it is not only the matter of storage space but every time someone displays a forum page in their browser, the photo has to come from somewhere.

If that somewhere is the forum's server, than there are costs for the bandwidth necessary to download each and every photo, every time a page is displayed. Those costs add up quickly on an international site like this one.

    These costs would continue forever!

The question might be better phrased, should there be all of this continued and completely unnecessary expense and overhead for the forum or would it be better to spare this expense and have you go to the extra step of using a free hosting service?

After all, there are no forum requirements to post photos, it is a completely a voluntary option on the part of the members...

Room EQ Wizard. It’s a free program for using a calibrated mic to take frequency measurements. I used it to take a measurement for a plurality of different crossover positions on the dial on the sub’s input filter to see how the sub and mains were playing together and determine which had the least destructive interference. It’s always a bit of a mess, but REW let’s you see how everything measures and you can easily tests like things sub position, speaker toe in, and even find reflections and decay spectrographs to asses the room’s effect.

Personally, I would rather see advertising on the forum and a far more intuitive upload for photos than the unintuitive multi-step process that one has to go through now. Looking at the number of posts on this forum addressing the issue of uploading photos, it would seem that i am far from alone on this. Just IMHO.:targettiphat:

Again, why don't you just try using Imgur just once? You're complaining about an issue that is easily remedied by just using a different site to host pictures. Wanting ads on this site just so you aren't inconvenienced for two extra seconds is quite perplexing. As for other people commenting about picture uploading, it seems many of those people aren't aware of or how to use Imgur (or another photo hosting site) to post pictures here. Once other members inform them about it, they seem to easily understand how to do it, usually following up by posting a pic. You already know about Imgur, but for some reason refuse to accept it as a solution, and would rather the site become filled with ads just so you can post a picture two seconds quicker. Very odd.

Current set up, just finished installing the acoustic panels. Two additional panels are over head as well, made a HUGE difference in overall clarity, as the seating position is not ideal distance wise, but making it work.

    Your opinion is duly noted!

While you may be far from alone with this, you are far from the majority, which do support the forum and are completely in favor of keeping it free of advertising.
