I’m curious, where do you set your crossover for your subs? I’ve got the same speakers and I found I like the crossover point set a little higher than the Forte’s specs would suggest.
I was going to leave a snarky must be new here comment. Then checked your profile; you are new here. Welcome. Nice setup.
I’m listening to Neil Young currently on these Harbeth’s and it’s fun to know there’s other dudes out there that understand how that voice comes across the speakers. The whole line of the speakers is special.
Macallan only gets a little water in my house and it's a profile I admire. I loved Highland Park many years ago, sounds like it's time to revisit and seek out this Valknut you're fond of. The Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or impressed me recently. Finished in Sauternes casks. Floral honey on the nose, very light peat in the finish. Clean and easy. And now back to the audio.
I can’t have a Neil Young listening session without first “The Needle and the damage done...Powder finger, and then sugar mountain. Truthfully, early acoustic Neil Young for a few hours,,and then top it off with Neil Young going full grunge....Crazy Horse.
If you thought the Sauternes cask was good check out, if you can find it, Isle of Arran Amarone Cask. Absolutely stunning stuff and I don't especially love Scotch.
In this little room, I cross them over at 65. For a while I had it set at 80 but 65 seems like the magic number in my space. How about you?
I don't remember the exact number. Rel doesn't do a great job of marking or explaining the numeric value of their crossover levels. They describe tuning in terms of '15 clicks from the minimum setting, and experiment with clicks from there'. They say I should have them set at about 10 o clock, and I've got them set at 12 o clock. Probably pretty close to 65hz.
It’s pretty old, the shutter stopped working years back, but yes it was my starter medium format camera when I used it. I still have the amazing slides from it.
Nice. I have one, still works perfectly. Have shot a lot through it, and love the rendering of the Yashinon lens. Not as sharp as the Hassy or Rollei, but different in its own right. You could probably get it CLA'd and it will come back to life.
