Oh no! I was just about to post how amazing it is you had this great gear laying around. RIP Mr Teac and obviously your cat was jealous of your new infatuation.
Now that I finally have a dedicated room I guess it's time to show you all. It's not perfect, but the system sure sounds much better than it used to.
Lovely Dave very cool looking system and very cool CD storage it gives your room a nice library feel.
If I didn't have all the stuff I've had for so long (records), I would only do digital these days. I probably stream and play CDs well over half the time but having been playing records since I was a kid in the 60's, I still have most of them so I'm stuck (with three turntables and one more in storage!).
I had no idea how much better they could sound with a) the right amplifier and b) a large enough space for them to project properly. If you could see the ceiling you'd see on the left it starts at 8' and on the right it's 9.5". It's a 10' A frame house.
Mostly the same system I've had for a while, but a new house. Much bigger space, need more woofer! Pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger on Volit Rivals. Until then:
Congrats on the new place -- system looks great! I'm jealous of your soon to be new Rivals! I'd love to own a pair in unstained plywood (no stain?--"unstained" sounds like the stain was removed).
very nice, best looking tektons and tektons room that i have seen. like the wall panels too. no heat concerns about the shelves above the tube preamp and amp? the voltis are special speakers, have you looked at their custom finish options?
Awesome looking system that Air Tight amp is so droolworthy! And great call on the Rivals I've heard the twice both times with Border Patrol gear and they sounded fabulous, should be a nice upgrade for you.
