I don't know; it looks like it might eliminate some first reflections, which is often good. The asymmetry might be a little problem but can be dealt with (looks like a few acoustic wall treatments on the opposite wall already)

Very nice set-up Stitch, those Tizios add a nice Italian panache to it all as well.

It's a quite a large room at well over 35 FT long (allowing for remarkably clean bass definition). The speakers are out from the back wall about 3 1/2 feet, wall treatments to deal with first reflections (you are correct). Additional room treatments at the seating position (14Ft away) soaking up any "stray" room reflections. Excellent sound stage and imaging have been achieved, which certainly was a challenge in this non-optimal room:)

Though I like the design and I am interested in the double wide version I don't think they make that anymore. The model H-6 uses a triangular leg design. I do prefer the look of yours.

Well, I am not up to date with them, my Table is about 9 years old.
But, when you are interested in those, some (not all) of them have an adjustable Top Plate. Very good to level a Turntable or a CD Player.
    My tables have that feature.

What a stunning system Stitch. Very nice choice of components.

Whats the turntable and arm on the right?

Would love to see pics of your room/speakers.

    Regards,

The main advantage of a D'Appolito array in a tower speaker is it creates a vertical 'null zone' which is very resistent to ceiling/floor boundry reflections and is able to project a very accurate portrayal of the speakers near field reponse to a far field listener. Thanks to the 'null zone' nature of the D'Appolito alignment, the speakers sound really good in basement listening rooms.

  20. Teaser Alert

Over the weekend I'm planing on some major upgrades to my system. Completely revised amplification as well as new system racks. I will post pics as soon as the work is completed.

In the meantime I will give you a sneak preview of the 3 sets of finite elemente ~ cerabase (Ceramic Ball Interface) that my new system racks will rest on.

Looks fun, lots of wheels to go round.
Ability to go back to the future
Those power connecters (iec powercons) suggest 60 amp supply
Surely not needed in a domestic situation
    Speakers are?
