xD I knew I’d contradict myself putting it in there, it’s just I really cannot stand it. I don’t know why, but I can’t even listen to the radio anymore.

Different likes…different wants….nothing wrong with that. Example….I know guys who wrap Oreo Chocolate Cookies in bacon and smoke them on a smoker. Not for me, but they say it’s excellent. Different likes. I can respect that. Your grandson! The youngster…yeah they help keep the hobby moving forward. I love hearing about the youngins spinning records.:)

I haven't listened to music on the radio in the last 20 years, but I still listen to a lot of music released since 2010; just not modern pop music.

Your setup is not so bad tho, in my opinion, you got pretty good-looking. I had a worse setup when I was finishing the asa miami campus 4 years ago.

I had my teeth cleaned a couple weeks ago, and I think my dentist used one of those. Didn't know it played records too.

It also can be used for Faberge eggs cleaning and to tattoo mice.

  13. My daily use is a old Technics SL-1210 gotten off eBay around 2008 for $200.00. I put a Jelco 750 arm on it and it is currently used with an AT-33/PTGII.

In any case, it was a pretty small room, and I was living with 2 roommates, so I never listened to it for a long time, especially during the covid 19 lockdown, because the guys who were living with me didn't like my music system or any vinyl system. I don't want to blame race, but they always were listening to rap and some black music. They just laughed when I tried to introduce them to the other kinds of music. Hopefully, they will get dismissed from my campus next year.

    ^ Old picture.

All in the interest of simplification and a smaller but stable vinyl collection.

Nothing wrong with that, we all started somewhere !

A tip is to get a decent cartridge and don’t play it, when it’s worn out. Otherwise you’ll be sad when your records are damaged when you graduate and upgrade ;-)
Records stay, TTs come and go.
