I watched the first two episodes. I have no idea what happened. Story seemed completely disjointed. Can someone clue me in?

I think we're going back and forth...
The beginning started, and then, it said, "SEVERAL MONTHS EARLIER"
    ...at the end, however...
    that a different story..
Was he on the plane, or were we just watching God play with His toys?

I’ve just watched the first season and struggled to understand a lot of it!

    Great fun watch though

I call it "train wreck TV". I don't know why, but I can't turn my eyes off it.

    So...
Are we all on the same page that the angel and demon who were 'hate-f&*$ing' each other were the parents of Genesis???

Only half way through season 2, but this show is such an entertaining watch. It’s rare there’s a dull moment. Hope the quality keeps up.

Love the ‘Hell’ scenes. Poor Eugene.:D

I want to watch seasons 1-3 first. Those aren't available on On Demand. I subscribed to AMC Premiere, to get Rubicon, but it doesn't have the early seasons of Preacher. Very weird. Looks like Hulu is the place to get it, but I'm not wanting to subscribe to about a 5th service at this time.

Just finished season 2. It’s such an entertaining show to watch. I don’t pretend to ‘get’ it all, but those 40-50 minutes fly by. And I love Herr Starr. Hope he’s still around in season 4.:D

    Whoa....
    I don't know WHAT'S about to happen....
    but, C'MON, GENESIS!!!!
    When's Jesse gonna USE it?!?!?!

  11. Oh snap! This started already?

I had such high hopes for this show. It doesn't totally disappoint. It's still fun...but it went pretty low on my radar after last season.

I guess for those who have never read the comic, they enjoyment is going to be there all the way through. If this series had followed the comic, not only do I think it would have done better in the ratings, but also Season 4 wouldn't be the final one.

It could have easily been 6 or 7 seasons.

I have some catching up to do (That's a lot of sentences that start with "I").

    Well.....when you DO...
we need to talk about the "Jesse & God" scene....
and how it compares to the comic....(since I never read it)
I though it was nicely done...

Pace is still good, quality of writing still disappoints, but I do love the slapstick violence, which couldn't adequately be depicted in the comic because it's not motion. I have two more to see, then I'm sure I'll conclude they did a relatively good job holding up the series to its' basic-cable potential. Not all Vertigo properties could hope for that faithful a treatment, particularly as ikky as this one.

And of course, this "Tulip" pops like nobody's business.

Just imagine them trying to do a series on Tim Hunter and Books Of Magic, without turning to the camera and spouting a legally-fashioned line every few minutes inserted to desperately try and distance itself from Rowling's work. :yikes:

    Missed opportunity dept.:
Cassidy (to God): "All I wanted to know was why people love that awful "Big Lewbowski" piece-of-crap movie!"
    Other than that.....
    Ready for the last ep.!

I’m on Ep 5 of the 4th season and I have to say it’s been the least enjoyable one yet. I’m at the point now where I’ll be glad when it’s all over! The 3rd season (mainly due to Jesse’s family) was the best one in my opinion. The 4th is a mess. It’s like they don’t care anymore and are just putting anything in.

Quite possibly the greatest waste of a promising franchise in the history of television. I am really stunned not only how badly this show has been botched since EP1, but the fact it managed to limp to finish a 4th season.

    Yeah....
Sorry, Seth Rogan...but, the "Preacher" finale is right up there with "GOT" for it's lack-luster ending.
