Preamp suggestion for needledrops?

    I just purchased an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 soundcard for my comp (my soundcard is currently onboard). I hurriedly grabbed a ART DeeJay Pre II phono preamp as it was all I could afford at the time. Will this be decent enough for some good needledrops or should I upgrade?
