Preferred Marvel comics in the sixties to D.C. comics. Films - Prefer MCU to D.C… nothings changed. Surprised though, thought D.C. films made $$$$$$ at the boxoffice?

Hit and miss. It's not consistent, like the 29 Marvel films.

Brand: DC Comics - Box Office Mojo

If anyone has Hulu, Prey gets the mBen Seal of Approval.

I also recommend watching it with the Comanche dub even though there's only SDH subtitles available.

the DC films are far superior as far as being art (much like the comic books--Marvel Comics never produced "true-art" like : Sandman , Watchmen , Swamp Thing , Ronin , and on and on)....interesting fact Marvel Comics always sold better in the "red states" , and DC in the "Blue states" .....even what Kirby produced at DC is "real art", compared to his very good "bread and butter" at Marvel

I've been OK with most of them, but Eternals left me cold. Awful and boring, all over the place.

I saw today that Loki is up for a few Emmy awards. I didn't see the series on that list. I wonder, is Loki gonna be the 1st Marvel movie to win an Emmy? Is Tom Hiddleston gonna be the 1st Marvel actor to get a statue?

Damage control/rehab of Ezra Miller's image has begun.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/ezra-miller-apology-statement-1.6552599

Flash actor Ezra Miller apologizes for past behaviour, begins treatment for 'complex mental health issues'

Actor's personal troubles have been pressing issue for Warner Bros. and DC Films

After a string of arrests and erratic behaviour in states spanning Hawaii to Vermont, The Flash actor Ezra Miller said they have begun treatment for "complex mental health issues."

The 29-year-old Miller, who identifies as non-binary, issued a statement late Monday. On Sept. 26, Miller is due to appear for arraignment in Vermont Superior Court after being cited for felony burglary in Stamford, Vt. Authorities last week said Miller had taken several bottles of alcohol from a residence while the homeowners weren't present.

"Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment," Miller said in the statement.

"I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behaviour. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life."

‘Aquaman,’ ‘Shazam’ sequels postponed amid Warner Bros. Discovery slate shuffle

    https://www.cnbc.com/2022/08/24/aqu...amid-warner-bros-discovery-slate-shuffle.html

    • “Shazam! Fury of the Gods,” which was slated for Dec. 21, has been pushed to March 17, 2023.
    • “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” which was set to debut on that March date is now arriving on Christmas Day in 2023.
    • The release date shifts comes amid a tumultuous time for the newly formed Warner Bros. Discovery. CEO David Zaslav has been ramping up cost-cutting measures in recent weeks, including layoffs and content eliminations from streaming service HBO Max.
The release date shifts comes amid a tumultuous time for the newly formed Warner Bros. Discovery. CEO David Zaslav has been ramping up cost-cutting measures in recent weeks, including layoffs and content eliminations from streaming service HBO Max.

This includes shelving the $90 million “Batgirl” flick that was set to debut on the platform as well as removing nearly 200 “Sesame Street” episodes and dozens of other shows.

It’s likely that the shift of the “Shazam” and “Aquaman” sequels are part of a similar strategy. Marketing theatrical releases is costly, so WarnerBros. Discovery is likely looking to spread out these tentpole releases across two years.

After all, the Dwayne Johnson-led “Black Adam” is set to hit theaters Oct. 21. So instead of having three major DC films released within the span of six months, Warner Bros. Discovery will have five in 14 months. “The Flash” hits theaters June 23, 2023 and “Blue Beetle” arrives August 18, 2023.

Other changes to Warner Bros. Discovery’s release calendar includes dating “House Party” for Dec. 9, 2022, “Evil Dead Rise” for April 21, 2023 and “The Nun 2” for Sept. 8, 2023.

“Salem’s Lot,” which was due out April 21, 2023 is now no longer on the release calendar.

Warner Bros Discovery is reportedly delaying certain films to 2023 as they only have enough cash to release 2 major films this year (‘Don’t Worry Darling’ and ‘Black Adam’).

I have to say I am a bit intrigued by the trailers for Don't Worry Darling. Any movie that has Florence Pugh, Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine and Harry Styles in the cast could be interesting. The trailers for the movie remind me a bit of The Stepford Wives, which could be a good thing or a bad thing, Lol. I loved the original movie, but I hated the remake.
