You'll need to include left bracket [(the word spoiler)] right bracket on either end of a block of spoiler-y text. I don't know if there's a shortcut to do that up in the tools section or not on this forum,
Personally I'd still rank Predator 1 + 2 above it--they're not really going to top those films now, I don't think. I'd put it ahead of Predators, The Predator and just above the first AvP movie which I really like, and definitely well ahead of AvP: Requiem. This is a solid and well-thought out sequel that can stand with the early installments of the franchise.
(spoiler) curved brackets? (spoiler) Edit: Clearly not. Try again... Spoiler square brackets? Edit: Got it! Square brackets. Sometimes wondered how to do that. In British English, '(' and '[' and '<' are brackets (curved, square, and angular) and all are parenthetical, but I think in US English the curved ones get the privilege of being called parentheses (although this is a parenthesis—and so is this—[this too], <and even this>).
Okay, thanks for the responses re: spoiler brackets. Now my question for those who've seen it... Spoiler Do you think there will be a sequel? The very last scene of the motion art sequence of the credits shows what looks like more ships arriving! One Predator may have been defeated, but many? Regards, Dave
I thought what I asked was separate to what was said before. I figured I should minimize the damage. Regards, Dave
We know the ending now. “Minimize the damaged”? If it gives you solace. .. lol. Was looking forward to seeing it myself ( eventually). Guess TV movies deserves such a fate… Spoilers a few hours after the films been transmitted.
Just finished watching it and found it very enjoyable, a little slow to begin with but once the pace picked up and the action kicked in it was very good. Hope they do another one.
There will probably be another one, given how well it's apparently doing. Plus, there's what I think is a bit of a sequel hook during the end credits. Hopefully that much is not spoiler-ish. Regards, Dave
I thought the killing at the end didn't make any sense at all... that whole last battle is really straining the suspension of desbelief, IMO. It's behind Predators, in my book. Of course the first one is the best of all...
looking at the positive reviews makes me smile...I like the positive better than the usual negative... going to watch this soon...thanks guys.
The Predator just has to fling a cat into the air. ALF's favorite cuisine will lead to his quick demise. Hah! Oh sh- THOOK! Regards, Dave
. One of the best of the batch. I watched the dubbed (English) version. I'll watch the Comanche version in a few days even though I don't speak the language. Spoiler: Historical Tidbits Note the pretty accurate historical tidbits about the trappers and how they practiced the mass slaughter of the Buffalo.
This was...not very good. The main actress was very good, but this felt like "been there, done that" in the worst possible way. And correct me if I'm wrong... Spoiler: Spoiler Isn't the point of the mask in the first flick that it's breathing apparatus?
It did have a little retreading from the original. But I think it's to be expected. I feel there was enough difference to keep it fresh, having it set in the past. And responding to your spoiler comment... Spoiler Yeah, I thought the same thing. It irked me. That and the skull-like appearance. I'd rather they stuck with the classic design. Regards, Dave
Spoiler: Spoiler I'm not sure that is true. The predator in the original film removes the mask to fight Arnold (man to... alien...with no weapons) and seems to breathe just fine.
Not in my opinion...it's not a BAD movie, it's just very meat and potatoes with very little seasoning.
Don’t know why folks are raving about it for. Guess free tv view, or something. Think it’s just you + a couple of others that share the same aesthetics when it comes to all things Predator.
While I enjoyed Prey, I'm not one of the ravers. I put it a little behind the classic original and Predator 2. Then Predators and the one AVP I've seen (don't remember which one). The others I've not seen. Regards, Dave
