You say that "you don't know why folks are raving about it", but you haven't even seen it for yourself yet. Maybe once you've seen it you can come back and give us your own opinion.
It's a smash hit for Hulu/Disney+ Hulu Says 'Prey' Is Its Biggest Movie or TV Series Premiere Ever - Variety The direct-to-Hulu release of “Prey,” the action-thriller prequel to “Predator,” notched the most viewing hours ever on the Disney-owned streamer in its first three days — among all TV series and movies. Disney decided to forgo a theatrical release for 20th Century Studios’ “Prey,” which premiered Aug. 5 on on Hulu in the U.S., as well as on Disney’s Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ under the Star banner in all other territories. Disney said “Prey” also was the most-watched film premiere on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ under the Star banner.
Yeah, there will definitely be another sequel then. I could forego the 17th century setting for the next one though.
Spoiler That seemed to be the case in Predator 2. Maybe it was the bad pollution of 1997 future LA in that film that was affecting the creature. Not in my ranking, but it's the best sequel since P2.
Kinda what the original Predator was in a form already. Just odd how many of those actors in the original went on to have successful political careers afterward.
Predator 1 was full of action-ready Expendables type dudes. As an aside, Arnie and Jesse Ventura both went on to become governors of US states, and at least one other of the cast of the original film went into politics later as well. I just find that part unusual and notable.
Well, people like what they like. Nothing wrong with that. Me, I don't enjoy these kind of movies at all. Mostly inane one liner dialogue coupled with ridiculous 'action' sequences.
