One cd wasted on single edits... seriously, does anyone really listen to them? Nice to see that the Vault is finally opening. Still no Extralovable though.
"Moonbeam Levels (2019 Remaster)" This is just another clue that the version issued on 4Ever was from an inferior source.
Let’s Pretend We’re Married (7″ Mono Promo Only Edit) I'm sure it's a fold-down, but glad it's included!

Cool. Welcome a new release of this. An all time great album. Will be interesting to see what of this has circulated before or is new to collectors. Purple Music! Glad there’s a choice between cd and vinyl instead of having to both the whole kit and caboodle.
The release date is important to me because on that very date 30 years ago, I bought my first two CDs. So for me, this purchase is symbolic (pun intended).
It's interesting that the press release states that "Warner Brothers Records will also release..." when the name has been changed to just Warner Records. I have a couple of recent records that are on the "Warner" label (The Regrettes, The Flaming Lips). It's like the press department didn't get the memo a few months ago: Warner Bros. Records Rebrands as Warner Records !
Hopefully we'll see a better mastering here than we did on the Purple Rain deluxe, but I doubt it. Either way I'm in for all of those previously unreleased tracks!
Not seeing it on Amazon yet, but I’m assuming for now that this will NOT feature the bargain price/barebones packaging of the Purple Rain set.
Between this and the Gene Clark No Other box just announced today, I now have two "take my money please" sets on the horizon. Dare I ask for more??
Yes! I was lazy and only checked the top couple pages but I see it now. I suspect a Gort will merge them. That said, I sorta prefer when threads devoted to new releases feature the track listing on the first page for easy reference (this is not a criticism of the earlier thread, just how it naturally works out when threads precede the official announcement). But that’s just a minor pet peeve.
No Extraloveable then? That pisses me off a bit. Would have taken a censored version over nothing at all.
