If there’s no English text indicating a promo sample copy or “not for sale”, you will invariably see this Japanese text, which indicates the same thing:
They very often have white labels and virtually always have 1 or sometimes 2 rectangular boxes with Japanese text of 2 or 3 characters in them stating for example that it is not for sale, a sample or something along those lines. I have more than 60 Japanese promo label albums.
I know there are Oz copies like this of Undercover & Rewind plus a run of 5 Stones 45's from 1982 to 1984.
