    Would these count?

    The Pretty Things "S.F. Sorrow"

The Small Faces "Ogden's Nut Gone Flake"

Psychedelica wasn't necessarily on the cards for London R&B or mod outfits, some dived in highly effectively nonetheless.

I'd say so. S.F. Sorrow immediately came to mind but I wasn't 100%.

The Small Faces previous, eponymous album was also clearly psychedelic. And to be honest, the newly recorded tracks on the "From the Beginning" album were also psychedelic.

It's similar to the Pretty Things. "Emotions" was a first - tentative - step towards "S.F." while - the mighty - "Parachute" still has many psych elements. Yet it already has a decidedly 70's vibe.

The Association weren't really psychedelic but their first album is, somewhat.

In it's day psychedelia was omnipresent like disco was in it's day & as such artists jumped on the latest hip bandwagon to try to remain "relevent" with the groovy people.

I'm not sure if there were many artists like the Rolling Stones who jumped on board with both fads.

They never jumped into either with both feet, but maybe the Beach Boys? There were psychedelic touches on some of the late 60s stuff, and then there was the disco version of "Here Comes The Night" in 1979.

Excellent example. I was considering this too but it's so obscure that it would just be a headscratcher for most.

Younger than Yesterday and Notorious Byrd Brothers are both steeped in the trippy stuff.

The Byrds might be primarily thought of as a folk rock band today but they were one of the main drivers of psychedelic music in 66-67.

This album isn't bad at all. Don't know why it gets panned so much. The SACD sounds pretty good too.

Miles Davis from In A Silent Way up to his retirement got pretty psychedelic. You could argue Filles or Miles in the Sky have a psych element as well, but Agartha, Big Fun, On the Corner, Dark Magus, Bitches Brew, Live at Filmore, etc, all that stuff is acid drenched.

You know my man Dave Liebman was tripping. I remember reading an interview with him where he said the band would trip when they played sometimes.

Something interesting I thought of yesterday is that to much of my dad's generation, at least the rock fan portion of them, THIS was Miles, not Kind of Blue or Sketches of Spain (that was their parents' Miles!)
