Q to Steve re: Mamas & the Papas/Michelle Phillips

    Steve,

    You mentioned that when you mastered "Their 16 Greatest Hits," you got a chance to listen to the music with Michelle Phillips. Out of curiousity, did she have any input in the project, or was she there just to revisit her past? Did she have any interest in knowing the "problems" with the sound of the original tapes and what you wanted to do to fix that?

    Just wondering.:)

    Mama Michelle enjoyed herself that day. I don't think she had heard any of the songs in a long time.

    Basically we wanted her blessing, and got it. She spread the word to John and Denny, and they signed on the dotted line as well.
