Queensryche/Queensrÿche - "The Verdict" (2019) album

Queensryche made two great albums... the others between boring and listenable.

 

Looking forward to this album. Dark Reverie definitely grows on you too. Going to be passing through San Francisco to attend the QR/FW double-header after attending Marillion Weekend in Port Zelande, the Netherlands and the Neal Morse Band in Tilburg before flying over. Can't wait!!

Regarding Scott's situation and his keeping quiet over the whole thing. Apparently, he and his wife filed for divorce around the moment his son was born back in 2017. Just imagine the ramifications surrounding his situation, his ex-wife's demands, etc.

The platform informed some people that they were having money troubles, but we have now also been informed that they do NOT have the monies that were pledged to Queensryche. This means that manufacturing nor shipments can be fulfilled.

We have been lied to for months and months by various people at Pledge and have now turned this entire mess over to our attorneys. As a Pledger, please get to your credit card company NOW and DEMAND a refund.

We are not alone in this matter, as it has been publicly made aware that many other artists have been affected as well.

We are truly sorry for this and any inconvenience this causes, but please do understand this is all out of our control, and as we said before, the Pledge folks lied and lied while they mismanaged the monies of the company.

That's really awful about the Pledge Music deal. I hope too many people don't get screwed (other than the thieves who blew the money).

A third new track "Blood Of The Levant".



I liked it, but it seems a bit short. Just getting going and then its done.

 

Wow, I was going to order that Harem Scarem boxset, glad I didn't.

I was skeptical about Geoff Tates replacement until I heard him live. This guys got vocal chords!!!

 

I wonder how successful people have been with getting refunds.

 

I ordered through Pledge Music too, sad to say. Haven't gotten round to calling for a refund yet as I've been quite busy. Will get onto it soon though.

 

Amazon lists a 2CD deluxe edition with 3 unreleased songs from previous album sessions.

 

Of course - where do you come up with this stuff?!?!

Was thinking of doing the same. There also seems to be two different 2CD Japanese editions, but I haven't been able to figure out the tracklistings on them to see if they are any different.

Yeah, I can see that. I meant that I wasn't able to see the tracklisting of the Japan releases, which sometimes have an extra track even over deluxe editions from Europe and elsewhere. I did order the German edition for now.

 

I was going to order the clear/smoke vinyl version through the Pledge Music but totally forgot. Looks like it worked to my advantage.
Ordered the 180g red/smoke version through Amazon.

Just picked up the Deluxe Edition today. What an amazing album once again! Todd captured the spirit of Scott's drumming though I missed the intensity. Still a masterful job though.

I was skeptical. As a matter of fact, I'm totally shocked at just how great this album is! I just clicked on it out of curiosity on Apple Music and expected I wouldn't even make it through the first track. You're correct about the drumming....that's one of the things that stood out for me immediately.

 

Also got the deluxe today - on my second listen now...sounds fantastic.

 

Can't wait to see them with Fates Warning at the end of the month in San Francisco. I was going to do anything to catch of the North American shows, so I thought okay, I'll catch them after I'm done with the Marillion Weekend in Port Zelande.

 

I lied...I ordered from Amazon UK as I got my shipping conformation. Blame old age!
