I keep trying to get into that film. I love parts of it, but as a film I don’t like it nearly as much as half his others. Very well made and acted though.

Jackie Brown is about a near perfect film as it gets imo. Reservoir Dogs is the other highly regarded film that I just can’t get into either, but I’m definitely in the minority on that one.

Don’t know why he’s considering turning Dogs into stageplay/film with all black cast( guess cause he can).
His final film ? Again, musing ..Kill Bill 3, with Uma Thurman’s daughter in it. Aside, Bruce Lee’s daughter still not happy how her father was portrayed in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Very Agatha Christie esqe( with blood). Now 8 would make great theatre / stage play.

Lot of folk hated it when it came out 2015, they have ( mostly)revised their opinion.

Visually stunning, great score.. fantastic script... wonderful ensemble cast.

I have it and will give it another shot. It was enjoyable enough, just not at the level for me as maybe five of his others.

Watched it a half dozen times now, least every year. Find something new in it all the time. Seen it twice in the cinema, in 2015.
Blu Ray looks stunning on my 2013 plasma. Don’t know what that 4K looks like ( assuming ).

    1) pulp fiction
2 kill bill saga (I don’t see these as 2 separate films the way many other members do.
    3) inglorious bastards
    4) reservoir dogs
    5) once upon a time in Hollywood
    6) django unchained
    7) death proof
    8) Jackie brown
    9) hateful 8

.. I would place “true romance” (Tarantino screen play towards the top if we were just talking about screen plays).

    ..The 8 BD .. “XX 20 Years Box “

I’ve seen it today going for 199.00 on eBay new. My used copy cost 50.00 ( BD).
    Guess shop-around.

    Thx for link.
Not a visually stunning film imo that requires restoration. But .. comes with both theatrical version/ director’s cut.. also with the 4K/ Blu disc as well+ 60 page book. Ha .. it won’t be long till 8K media is available.

That box is out of print now, they really need to issue a complete 4K set one day with them all in together and leave True Romance out, good film though.

True Romance is part of the XX 20 years box and worthy edition imo. But .. yeah.. guess all in 4K.. till they decide to just make you buy the 8K version :)

Yeah release the 4K set before 8K is out and pushed on us ! I think it’s already been out in Japan for a long while, we are years behind as always.

You would think there would be an expanded box? Maybe waiting for final film. :)

Yeah not sure why there is nothing at the moment but it’s probably a given something else will be released with Django, hateful 8 and Hollywood included.

Somebody mentioned the other day, a preference for Kill Bill 2. Michael Madsen so funny, working in that strip bar, living in a trailer ( in the middle of nowhere). The bride got a surprise. :)
