Exciting news. I assume this will be a double vinyl set?

Would love it if they'd release a version that included the content from the 2CD set, but this is likely just the straight up best of.

Yes, I think it's just a 2 LP of the main release.

If you dig the colored vinyl, looks like Barnes and Noble will have a blue variant.

Wonder if this will be cut by Chris Bellman like the 25th anniversary reissues.

Nice! How does it sound? I note it is mastered by Stephen Marcussen and his work can be hit and miss.

I’m pleased with it..doesn’t sound bright,in fact I was tempted to increase the treble so clear was the bass.Nice soundstage and no obvious compression to my ears. The two songs from Reveal sound much better than they do on the CD.

    It's my 1st of the R.E.M. Vinyl reissues,cut by Chris Bellman(Cb) it's a Barnes & Noble Colored Medium-see Thru-ish Blue,pretty flat pressing with nice Poly-Lined Inserts,GateFold and it's VERY crankable! I only have Original 80's R.E.M. so this is my 1st 90's- Present R.E. M. Vinyl....Sounds Nice!

So, is it indeed cut by Chris Bellman? Are his initials to be found in the deadwax area or is he credited somewhere else? I ask to be clear, since I cannot find his initials in the deadwax area of the European reissue (black vinyl - I cannot say anything about the blue vinyl version which is also around here)...
Apart from that, this reissue also sounds pretty decent - nice and open. It also comes very well pressed (and flat) though there are no poly-lined inserts (they are made of paper).

I don't know whether that will only be the case with the first pressing run - as it was the case with the "Automatic for the People" reissue (first no "CB" in the runouts, after a few months, I found a lot with his initials and that has remained true ever since).

Managed to grab a copy of the Blue version in HMV in the UK. Apparently its quite limited and they are only allowing one copy per customer. There were only a few copies left. No CB in the deadwax so I don’t think this version was cut by Chris Bellman. Will be listening later.

    Is this it?

Doesn't mention CB anywhere here. Interesting. Maybe it was just missed by whoever updated the Discogs listing. I have a 15% coupon for B&N so I might just buy it and pick it up at the store on the way home today and find out for myself.

Just opened my copy. Black vinyl, poly lined inners, CB in the deadwax. Not sure where it was pressed and I won't be able to listen to it until tonight.

Fingers crossed for a quality pressing.
