Sorry to hear this, RIP Betty.

I'd thought she was very healthy for a 99 year old. Spunky and alert !

I spose she just died of old age. I hate that that happens. Otherwise healthy people, minds fully intact just passing on.

We should all be so lucky to live to 100 though, faculties intact.

I can't add much more than has already been said about this wonderful beloved woman and national treasure other than this.

When I was growing up my mom used to watch Password almost every day and if I was with her, me too.
Allen Ludden used to come out at the start of seemingly every episode and say, "Hi doll!"
I asked my mom who he was talking about and she said, his wife Betty White.

I guess Allen can now say that again as Betty now joins him.

My son and I were just talking about Betty last week and we were both looking forward to her 100th birthday show coming up.
Just by saying her name, it always made us feel good because we both admired her and her work.

RIP. I always think of Betty White and Alan Ludden as the ultimate 50s wasp couple.

    They were all past
I hope so....even for her part in Lake Placid alone.

It's sad when a legend passes on but Betty White lived a full life and kept working almost until the end. Whether it was The Golden Girls, Hot In Cleveland, or the various ads and guest spots that she did throughout the years, Betty White carried herself like the pro that she was....with a razor sharp sense of humor to boot. RIP.

As with the recent passing of Bishop Desmond Tutu, we are once again reminded of what we lost when Craig Ferguson tired of the nightly grind. Both he and Betty are irreplaceable.

'50s? Started in 1961. It is possible that Betty was a contestant early on the show and she married Allen Ludden in 1963.Password was easily my Mom's favorite quiz show. Home edition was a fun game, and updated often with revisions.

I agree with those supporters calling her a legend. Seen her on so many shows I felt I knew her. She seemed so likeable.

Believe it or not, there is another publication that was prepared to do the very same thing.

However, I hope you would agree that using the example of one print media’s stupidity is sufficient to present.
