R.I.P. Joseph Sirola

Was in Andy Griffith Show as Bobby/Freddy Fleet, and did many voiceovers over the years

R.I.P. Joseph Sirola, Mayberry musician ''Freddy Fleet'' who was later dubbed ''The King of the Voice-Overs''

 

Died from complications due to respiratory failure.

 

Remember him from Andy Griffiths, RIP Joseph Sirola....and probably heard much of his voice over work!

 

R.I.P. didn't recognize the name but I do the face....

 

Will always remember him as Bronzefinger on Get Smart:
"Bronzefinger! A thumb is a finger!"

 

I didn't know he was still around, I haven't seen him in anything for a long time.
Very distinctive voice in commercials, I always think of Wendy's.
He starred in a TV series around 1975 or '76 called "The Montefuscos" about a stereotypical Italian-American family. The show was considered very bad, even at the time, and was heavily criticized and the butt of a lot of jokes. I remember Johnny Carson frequently mentioned the show in his monologue.

 

He was in many things. Classic guy. Great talent. RIP.
