Here’s an electric live performance of one of Nona’s most brilliant compositions, which gives each of them a chance to really shine:

Labelle was groundbreaking and so damned fine I wish more people remembered them for the force they were, and Sarah Dash was such an important part of that vocal blend they had. RIP, your voice will always be with us.
The vocal work on this song is incredible.

One of my favorite albums of all time, not a false move on it.

I know it's futile, but I honestly believe Labelle (the group) deserve to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame -- even if they get in as an "early influence"...

This is lousy film quality, but it shows the perfection of the group, with Sarah's solo notes especially giving me chills!

Ahh, screw the Hall of Fame, just put out a box set of their albums from the S/T up to Chameleon. I'll even settle for a well put together anthology with a live DVD.
But I see get your point.

RIP Ms. Dash, thank you for the music. She makes her presence known on this Billboard Top 50 hit, the follow-up to "Lady Marmalade." This track lit up radios and dance floors in the summer of '75.

This was terrific dance single from Sarah’s first solo album. I always thought she should have had more solo success…

I wonder what her cause of death was? Her family said she was feeling unwell in recent days, per The Guardian.

Here’s a fun performance by the band on Cher’s variety show with some fine Sarah high notes!

  20. I met Sarah back in Jun 2018, at — of all places — a street party (a block party on steroids) — here in Washington DC, not 4 blocks from where I live. She was there to stump for a candidate for the DC city council.

I look my Keith Richards CD’s, and had her sign my copy of the “Eileen” CD single, the one with her killer live rendition of “Gimme Shelter” by/with Keith on vocals.

Sweet lady, and I’m glad I got to meet her. I’m actually a bigger fan of Keith’s solo output, than I am of the Stones — and she plays a fairly big role in that realm.

    RIP.
