Rain- rare previously unseen Beatles video 2018

New to me. NOT one of the versions on 1+ nor Anthology, completely new. Please watch before telling me it's the regular video, it's not.

It was officially released with the 1+ set in 2015. Not rare.

 

Half of it is just like the Nowhere Man EP cover, sitting on the branches, the second half is a low shot as it goes sunny and rainy in equal measure. Very appropriate. I don't think any of it is in the official videos.

I can't see the video but it could be one of the rare, unseen versions released on the recent HMC DVD. I could well be wrong though..

Shame, it's very refreshingly 'new', different angles, doesn't look 52 years old.

 

I remember reading about that "new" alternate 'Rain' video here in the forum few times before.
Will this get an official release sometime? Maybe for a deluxe Revolver set after 2020?^^

 

Well I am sure it was nice and new and fun for the 42 seconds that it was available to watch.

No, it's all different to any other Rain video. Colour, in the grounds of Chiswick House but nothing like the Anthology or 1+ videos, or any b**tleg I've seen before 2018.

Definitely unedited footage for the first 1:17 or so. Then the second shot is more unedited footage till the end of the song. What's interesting is that almost nothing of the first part was used in the official videos and nothing (unless just a glimpse) of the second shot was used. It's pretty easy to see this was a long day's shoot. It's possible all the different sections were filmed this way. I'm sure when it was edited they wanted to use more closeups, as both of these are fairly long shots. Very cool Nik!! Ron

PS How were these filmed back in the day? Blare the recording (it is outdoors after all) that is being be mimed to and then film without sound? Now, wouldn't it be cool to see and hear all the rough filming?!
