Pretty perfect for an overcast and rainy day. Strong playing throughout -- Barrow's drumming is consistently in the pocket -- in a heady stew of galloping grooves, vocal-driven songs, and general cinematic atmosphere.

I'm going thru a box of LP's that I've never heard before and these were from last night....

Tom Cat gets fairly good reviews but I don't like it.

This an orchestral instrumental LP on Sheffield Labs. It sounds great and has a lot of Wrecking Crew members on it. Mike Deasy plays guitar and I'm interested in him after seeing him at a local church some years ago. He prayed for me at the end of the service. It won't get a lot of plays but it's interesting.

This is Rock LP circa 1970 on Sussex. I have to admit I was multi-tasking while it was playing so I wasn't deep listening but it sounded pretty good and worth another spin.

Listened to both stereo and mono mix of Butterfield's East-West today... original '66 mono LP and '01 stereo LP... not sure which mix I prefer, but the album is easily 10/10
